Your health is important. Many people only really get to understand this later in their lives when either their own health or other people they know's health starts to deteriorate.
I could give you all kinds of worrying statistics to try and encourage you to look after yourself better but I guess you have already heard these.
Not looking after your health will shorten your life. You cannot worry your life to be longer but you can worry it to be shorter.
How much exercise do you take? Do you think this is enough?
Do you ever think about the difference that your food makes to your health and energy?
Do you smoke?
Do you drink too much?
Many of us struggle with our health. We know we should exercise more and eat more healthily but a modern lifestyle does not always help. Perhaps we have to work long hours and don't have time to exercise. If you are a parent of a young family this will be even harder for you.
Instead of thinking about all of the things you cannot do try to think about what you can do. Even small changes will make a big difference.
If you need to give something up but can't face giving it up altogther in one big effort what small amount could you give up?
If you need more exercise what could you do to help this? Climbing stairs instead of using the life is an obvious one. Go for a walk at lunch time perhaps. Take an apple to work for a snack every day.
