Your relationships Print E-mail

A great deal about who we are is dependant on who we know. Our relationship play a large part in defining who we are. Cheifly, of course, for the Christian it is the relationship with God that forms us the most but other relationships play a part as well.

It is important for a well rounded life to take a close look at ones relationships and to see how they shape us and what we can do about it.

When you consider your relationships you should also consider the impact that any changes you might chose to make within a relationship will have on the other person. We should want to be better but sometimes we need to help someone else understand why we are making these changes and involve them in what is happening. This is particularly important for those who are married. We have responsibility to care for the person we have married and if we are going to change our relationship with them in any way they should at least know about the reason for us wanting to make a change.

Here are some questions then to consider:

Who are the people we have a relationship with now?

Are you happy about the quality of these relationships?

What can you do to change them for the better?

Have you talked through your desire to make a relationship better with the other person?

Do you want to have a deepr relationship with anyone?

If you do what could you do to make that happen?

Is there anyone you have a bad relationship with that you should make better?

What one thing can you do to make it better?

Now go and do it!
